Lisa R. Delman, M.A. is the
author of Dear Mom, I’ve Always Wanted You to Know, Daughters
Share Letters from the Heart(Perigee Book, Penguin Group, 2005).
Inspired by the cathartic letterwriting experience she had after
her mother suffered a near-fatal heart attack, Lisa, creator of
www.LisaDelman.com, a website that invites daughters to write a
letter to their mother (alive or deceased).
She received over a thousand
letters from women around the world. Packed with a powerful
range of emotions from guilt to gratitude and anger to anxiety,
these letters form the basis for Lisa’s book.
Fully committed to helping
other women find their voices and unleash their truly empowered
selves, Lisa is also the founder of the international Letters
from the Heart Project ® which offers numerous workshops and
teleclasses that encourage women to articulate their emotions
via letter writing, a process that initiates self-discovery and
healing.
Prior to launching the Letters
from the Heart Project, Lisa earned a Bachelor’s degree in
Advertising and a Master of Arts in Organizational Design and
Effectiveness and spent 15 years working in corporate sales and
marketing where she increased revenues tenfold.
Today, Lisa continues to
utilize her communication and marketing skills to create
goodwill in all her endeavors. She lives with her husband John,
and their two dogs and two cats in Miami, Florida.
